X-ray

Select Diagnostic Imaging offers GE Digital X-Ray for our patients.  

Digital x-rays have many advantages over conventional x-rays.  Digital allows the radiologist immediate access to the image for faster diagnosis.  Digital allows less repeats since images can be manipulated (if too dark or light) to provide optimal visualization. The technologist performing the study can view the images within seconds of exposure resulting in quicker exam times.

X-ray is the quickest and easiest way for a physician to evaluate, broken bones, evaluate infection and arthritis.

There is no special preparation required for most x-rays.  You may be asked by the technologist to change into a gown before your exam.  Jewelry, eyeglasses and any metal objects that can interfere with the test will have to be removed. During your procedure, you may be standing up or lying down on an examination table.
