Ultrasound

How does ultrasound work?  Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images of the internal organs and blood vessels.  A transducer held by the technician is placed on the patient’s body.  A sound wave is send into the area of interest that is reflected back to the transducer.  The signal is then converted by the ultrasound machine into an image visualized on the ultrasound monitor.

Select Diagnostic Imaging has GE logiq E9 ultrasound with the latest software providing advanced technology that captures superior images for the technologist performing the exam and radiologist interpreting the exam.

Select Diagnostic Imaging is accredited by the American College Of Radiology in:

→ General Ultrasound
→ Gynecological Ultrasound
→ Obstetrical Ultrasound
→ Vascular Ultrasound (Cerebrovascular, abdominal, peripheral vascular)

Our technologists are highly trained and certified.
